Frequently Asked Questions
What does my physical fitness need to be?
The activities are designed to make you successful in nature no matter your skill level. We use a ‘no women left behind’ mantra and ‘challenge by choice.’
Do I need travel insurance?
YES! Travel Insurance is highly recommended for the multi-day trips for your personal safety. Depending on what insurance you purchase it may cover: trip cancellation and interruption, baggage delay and loss, travel delay, emergency medical and dental care, medical transport and evacuation, and property loss. Your Adventure Rx accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to any person or property during adventures. Our suggestion is World Nomads (worldnomads.com) as we use them ourselves.
What if I get ill or injured on an adventure and am unable to continue?
Your guides are trained to deal with these situations and will endeavor to get you help as quickly as possible. If you must leave the trip early due to illness or injury we will help you find appropriate medical care and assure your emergency contact is aware of the situation. Your travel insurance, which is compulsory on multi-day adventures, should cover any illness or accident costs if incurred.
How many people attend each adventure?
Depending on the adventure, the number of participants may vary. Adventure limits will be stated on the adventure trip page. Most adventures are small groups geared to 6-10 people with anywhere from 1 to 3 staff members. We find that small groups allow people to open up comfortably and connect with others in order to make huge strides in their personal and professional development. We want you to enjoy their adventure to the fullest extent.
If I am more experienced than is described on the adventure page can I still join?
If you are more experienced than what is listed you are welcome to join the adventure. We will try to accommodate your level of experience as best we can. Please be aware that adventures will be geared primarily toward the stated skill and activity level.
How much free time will I have on an adventure?
The amount of free time will vary for each adventure. There is an itinerary on the adventure trip page and a more detailed itinerary may be sent to you once you have registered for your adventure.
The one-day adventures will most likely be action packed with little free time. The multi-day adventures will have more free time where you can explore your surrounding and the culture of the area.
What should I bring on my adventure?
Each adventure will have a list of what to bring on your adventure. A basic list will be on the specific adventure trip page. You will receive an adventure trip packet after you sign up for an adventure with specifics on what to bring. If you have questions, feel free to contact us at: info@youradventurerx.com.
What is included in the adventures?
