Summer is here!!! Hence the lack of emails… The one thing this pandemic has brought back into my life is some special kiddos. I have been given the blessing of working with special needs kids again after a break from it. This has felt nice and per usual, these kiddos bring interesting perspective into my life. It never ceases to amaze me how much a 13 year old can teach me about life in just a few hours. The resilience, and perseverance to get to our destination.

Emotions, situations and circumstances are mostly under our own control. Sometimes we let things that are out of our control rule our life. In all reality it’s up to us to take the bull by the horn and not give in. Our life in is our own hands. I know I can create my own stress and anxiety until I realize that I need to let go of things I cannot control. It’s important for me to be mindful and not allow anyone to take my power or self-worth and not allow myself to get caught up in the nonsense. And when it does, I try to remember to be kind to myself. Pull back the reigns and bring it back to reality.

There are a few programs going on this summer that I’ll hope you’ll join me for. I hope you have an amazing summer and stay tuned for some fun programming including a wilderness escape challenge coming soon!
